ACHIEVEMENTS / IMPROVEMENTS
Directly responsible for a team of four, and all Finance IT, HR, and Administration resources.
- Introduced effective account reconciliation and cash control processes and managed issue-free and timely year-end audits
- Improved quality and content of management accounts and reduced turnaround from 10 to 4 days
- Improved integration and usability of company systems
- Implemented E-Commerce website using Sage Pay Payment, Gateway and Merchant Account facilities
- Wrote and Implemented Procedures, Authorisations, Controls, etc.
- Promoted Cross Functional Teams – including introduction of system to ensure that Sales and Service desks are covered by Accounts team in times of absence.
- Sales and Orders reporting and analysis – Launched and led detailed reporting and reviews to ensure results are maximised – by targeting key customers / regions and high margin products.
- Forecasting and Budgeting – Developed system of reporting and monitoring to ensure accountability and improvements.
- Inventory – Enforced / re-commenced cyclical stock counts.
- Management Information – Developed and instigated monthly (and weekly) relevant, accurate, appropriate and timely reporting (Financial and non-financial).
- Overheads – Commenced monthly reporting, management and control to maximise control and profitability. Introduced Standard Cost and Profitability analysis.
- Successful application and receipt of funds for Technology Grant (Technology Strategy Board).
